The Dilation that Wasn't

Wonderful news this morning!! Dr Skarda says Audrey's esophagus looks wide open with no signs of acid, and he didn't even need to dilate! Her new medication seems to be doing the job. He was going to put in a stent for two weeks if she was starting to stricture, so I am over the moon for this report. Phew!! Thank you for all the kind thoughts and prayers! It means so much to us.

  1. Hi,
Your story is so moving. Just read through many of your posts but see that the last update is 2013. Just wanted to know how things turned out for you guys and Audrey? Prayerfully she is leading a normal healthy life now ad done with having to go through anymore surgeries.

My wife and I are concerned we may be at the beginning of a similar journey. Your story is very encouraging and very scary at the same time! Thank you for posting.

    1. Hi Frank, I'm sorry that I got so behind on the blog. I needed to take a break to take care of my family and work through some of the emotions of this overwhelming journey a bit more privately for a time, but I finally updated it just this week. Please let me know how things are going for your family. Each EA/TEF journey is unique but we families can be such a strength to one another. Wishing you well!
